OPD Services:
Timing of Services: -

1. 9 AM - 4PM (Monday – Friday) on all working days.
2. 9 AM – 1 PM (Saturday) on all working days.
(Services are not available on Sundays and Government Public Holidays)

a. The Department offers Outpatient consultation to all women presenting with gynaecology or obstetrics problems in OPD hours.
b. The Department offers registration and follow up to all Antenatal care (ANC till delivery according to standard national guidelines with Antenatal Immunization and Deworming of ANC, done on OPD basis.
c. The department Offers High risk ANC (especially in e.g. Pre- eclampsia, GDM, Thyroid dysfunction, Anaemia, medical disorders like thyroid abnormalities)
d. The department offers Specialty Services like Clinic for subfertility, which includes offering investigations and treatment for diagnosis of male and female subfertility. Services offered are ovulation monitoring, ovulation induction, baseline blood investigations on OPD basis.
e. The department offers diagnosis for Oncology cases for detecting Cancer like Endometrial cancer, Cervical cancer through USG, ovarian cancer by investigating and Pap smear screening, and further referral to dedicated cancer centre.
f. HPV vaccination is offered as per new national guideline.
g. The department offers Prenatal counselling to newlywed couples and high-risk women.
h. The department is Offering diagnosis and treatment of Early pregnancy complications like hyperemesis gravidarum, ectopic pregnancy and molar pregnancies.
i. Post delivery services like breastfeeding counselling, contraception counselling to mothers, new-born care and nutritional counselling done in OPD and support for issues related to postpartum especially mental health care provided by the department.
j. diagnosis & Treatment of Sexually Transmitted Infection.
k. Minor OPD Procedures like Non-stress test (NST) in ANC patients, PAP’s smear, IUD insertion, High vaginal swab collection, suture removal of post LSCS or other procedures are done on OPD basis.
l. Adolescence clinic services are offered to young patient with various adolescence problems like menstrual irregularities services and other adolescence problems like PCOS, Obesity, and hirsutism.
m. Menopausal clinic: treat menopausal symptoms in menopausal women. Sexual Disorders are identified and treated in sexually active women.
n. Treatment of basic Urogynaecology symptoms is offered to women suffering from urinary tract symptoms.
o. Family Planning services like contraceptive counselling and guidance is being offered by department of OBGY.
p. Lifestyle modification modalities are offered to all patients attending Obstetrics & Gynaecology Dept by referring to allied health services like Dietician opinion, Yoga by experts, physiotherapy whenever needed.

q. Insertion of Copper coil, Inj. DMPA are done as contraceptive measures on OPD basis.

INDOOR SERVICES

a. Inpatient Services for Obstetrics and Labour Ward patients:Timings of Services: 24 x 7.
b. Labour and related services like offering vaginal birth, instrumental delivery, Lower segment caesarean section (LSCS).
c. High risk labour services offered in relation to obstetric high-risk pregnancies like Pre-eclampsia, GDM, anaemia, Thyroid dysfunction and other medical disorders in pregnancy, Diagnosis, and management of surgical disorders in pregnancy,
d. Preterm labour management including antenatal steroid coverage and Magnesium sulphate neuroprophylaxis and tocolysis,RH Negative pregnancy management,
e. Treatment of High-risk pregnancies like preeclampsia, anaemia, medical disorders in pregnancies are being offered to ANC patients.
f. Triage of high-risk ANC patient and requirement of specialized care like HDU (High Dependency unit or ICU care transfer)
g. Involvement of Multidisciplinary approach while treating medical high-risk patients which involves involvement of different specialties. Nutritional counselling, prenatal and antenatal Yoga services while being admitted in the hospital.
h. Minor Obstetric surgeries like cervical cerclage, management of missed miscarriage, molar pregnancy, ectopic pregnancies and other procedures are being done while inpatient.
i. Emergency surgeries: like Lower Segment Caesarean Section, Exploration for ruptured ectopic are performed whenever needed.

j. Emergency obstetric care: in cases of Previous LSCS in Labour, Abruptio placenta, Placenta previa, Malpresentations and malposition breech and transverse lie in labour, foetal distress, offered.
k. All emergency antenatal patients presented to Casualty are attended by Senior Resident of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (24 x 7) Inpatient Services for Gynaecology patients:
Timing of services 24 x 7.

The department offers services in following areas:

1. All Gynaecology patients requiring admission are diagnosed with appropriate modalities which are available in house like Ultrasonography Pelvis & Abdomen, X-ray and laboratory services like Pathology, Biochemistry, and microbiology for blood investigations.
2. After diagnosing the gynaecology condition, the patients are offered management according to the guideline.
3. Patients who require conservative management like Inj Iron supplements for anaemia, administration of Inj Antibiotics for infections, Inj Antifibrinolytics for menorrhagia are offered either on a Day-care basis or IPD basis.
4. Minor gynaecology surgeries like Dilatation & Curettage, Cone biopsy, Polypectomy, Mirena Insertion, are performed as Day care surgeries.
5. Major operative surgeries: like total abdominal hysterectomy ,laparoscopic hysterectomy with or without salpingo-oophorectomy, exploratory laparotomy for ovarian or tubal pathology, Open surgeries: Total abdominal hysterectomies with salpingo-oophorectomy, Myomectomies including broad ligament and cervical fibroids, Ovarian cystectomies, hydrosalpinges excision, Tubal recanalization, Sling surgeries like Purandare cervicopexy and Shirodkar sling surgeries being offered in the patient where indicated.
6. Vaginal surgeries: Vaginal hysterectomy for prolapse uterus, Non descent vaginal hysterectomy for benign uterine pathology, Cystocele repair, Rectocele repair, Enterocele repair, Colpo-perineorhhaphy, Vault prolapse repair, Fothergill repair done in all indicated patients.
7. Other surgical procedures: Diagnostic Laparoscopy for tubal patency test, Diagnosing chronic pelvic pain, Operative Laparoscopy: for tubal ligation, ovarian cystectomy with endobag specimen retrieval, para-ovarian cystectomy, hydrosalpinges excision, adhesiolysis, myomectomies.
8. Emergency surgeries are offered in cases of Torsion ovarian cyst or Rupture Ovarian Cyst, ruptured ectopic pregnancies.
9. Senior Resident of Obstetrics & Gynaecology available 24 x 7 for emergency management of gynaecology patients. Services of Family Planning: Timing of services 24 x 7 for Inpatients and as OPD Services.
10. Termination of pregnancies according to gestational age including first and second trimester MTP are done by medical or surgical modalities within the purview of guidelines.
11. Family planning operations: tubal Ligation either with LSCS, Laparoscopic sterilization, open minilap Tubal ligation or Postpartum tubal ligation services are offered to patients.
We follow all National Programmes of contraception and family planning.
