1) Brief introduction of Services provided by the Anaesthesia Department 

•    Department is running one Pre anaesthesia check up (PAC) clinic for preoperative evaluation of patients undergoing any surgery. Preoperative evaluation is essential for planning, stratification, optimisation and perioperative management of patients undergoing surgical procedures and to improve patient outcomes.
•    The Department of Anaesthesia is providing safe and quality anaesthesia services in all OTs for elective as well as emergency surgeries (round the clock) who requires anaesthesia.
•    The Department of Anaesthesia is providing Monitored anaesthesia care to patient undergoing any procedure under local anaesthesia inside any OT of MHB.
•    The Department of Anaesthesia is providing perioperative care to all patients who underwent surgeries in any OT of MHB.
•    The Department of Anaesthesia is providing epidural steroid to patients of chronic backache referred by orthopaedic surgeons for same.
•    Department is providing life  saving services like CPR, intubation & services by ward procedures in cases of difficult IV Cannula insertion, Difficult RT insertion, Therapeutic as well as diagnostic Lumbar puncture, Central line placement, insertion of PICC to provide chemotherapy to cancer patients, remain standby during tracheostomy etc. in any area of whole hospital or ICU .
•    In addition to secondary care surgeries we have super speciality of Urology surgery & we have given anaesthesia for ENT oncology surgeries too.
•    We are also providing anaesthesia to paediatric patient for few basic /routine general surgeries, orthopaedic surgeries & ENT surgeries.
•    Dr. Hansa Patel is looking after functioning of Gas manifold, MGPS of hospital and Oxygen plant catering to OT and entire hospital.
•    ICU is headed by anaesthesia Specialist Dr. Jigar Bhavsar of our anaesthesia department. 
•    Dr. Pradnya Jagtap is looking after functioning of Central Sterile Service Department (CSSD) catering to OT and entire hospital.
•    Department is also organising training of Basic Life Support for hospital staff as well as patients & relatives visiting hospital along with patients.
•    Since 2023 Anaesthesia department of MHB got Accreditation with National Board of Examinations in Medical sciences for Post MBBS Diploma Course & four seats are permitted for same .
•    In 2023 Three (03) student got admission for Diploma Anaesthesia at MHB. Department is providing required guidance as well teaching to these students . 

2) Location where the services being provided by Anaesthesia  Department

•    2rd Floor OT block has 2 modular OTs for orthopaedic, Urology & General Surgeries.  
•    3nd Floor OT block has 2 modular OTs for ENT, Gynaecology and Reproductive Surgeries, and family planning surgeries.
•    4th  Floor OT block has 2 modular OTs -, 01 OT is dedicated EYE OT & another will be dedicated scopy OT 
•    Bed for Pre operative & Post-operative patients inside OT : 2nd floor OTs-08 beds, 3rd floor OT – 6 beds & 4th floor OT -5 beds.
•    Pre- Anaesthetic Check-up Clinic (PAC Clinic): Room No.117, 1st floor, OPD block.
•    Central Sterile Service Department - Ground Floor, 
•    Gas manifold and Oxygen plant: There is one gas manifold and 02 oxygen ( PSA) plants outside main building of hospital .
•    Intensive Care Unit 5th floor – Dr.Jigar Bhavsar has Charge of ICU as a HOD ICU .
